My Lymphoma story

At the age of 15 I was diagnosed with stage 3 Hodgkin's Lymphoma. We had been going to the doctors for about a month due to this weird lump that only kept growing bigger and bigger on the left side of my neck. Then another one started growing on the other side of my neck. We finally got my normal doctor after a month and he sent me for an x-ray and ultrasound, that was on the friday. The following Monday we showed him the scans and he ordered a ct, to which my mam rushed me to. A few hours later my doctor told me straight up, Rachel, you have cancer. So I packed my bag and my bear and only thoiught id have my neck cut open and that was it. But I was wrong. I had a PICC line put in, a bone marrow aspirate, then six rounds of harsh chemo. I had a large tumor, 7cm, in my chest, those two on my neck and a minute one on my spleen which was found on my PET scan the day after diagnosis. At about 5th round of chemo my legs started growing week, to by a month later, I was in a wheelchair and i still am now. I've had to have a LP due to huge headache and pain that not even Endone could help with. All they found was high fluid pressure. I now am growing back my hair, 9 months post treatment, I have PTSD from all the grusome things I endured. I was diagnosed on the 27/07/15 and had my last chemo on 28/12/15 (IV chemo) and my last chemo steriod on 30/12/15 I reached remission on 22/01/16 but now I have two lumps around my thyroid (kinda) and I'm having a biopsy this week or next week. This is honesty terrifying to have to face the fear again, but God is good
