Connect staff arenât available all the time. But there are many places you can call, webchat or even text with if you need support. Have a look below to find where you can get help now.
If you need urgent medical advice about your cancer, you should either:
   Contact your clinical team or hospital on the out of hours number they have given you
   Go to your local accident and emergency department or call 999 if you need urgent attention
   Contact your 111 or your GP for an emergency appointment
If you need to speak to someone about how youâre feeling right now, but itâs not a medical emergency, please contact a member of your clinical team, if this is a time you would expect them to be available.
If theyâre not available, or if youâd rather speak to someone else, there are lots of places you can get support:
Samaritans. Â Free telephone support. Phone 116 123 (open 24 hours, every day)
The Mix. Â Essential support for under 25s. Text THEMIX to 85258 (open 24 hours, every day)
Shout. Â Crisis support by text. Text SHOUT to 85258 (open 24 hours, every day)
Childline. Â Help and advice by phone for under 19s. Call 0800 1111 (open 7:30am â 3:30am, every day)
SANEline. Â If you're experiencing a mental health problem or supporting someone else, you can call SANEline on 0300 304 7000 (4.30pmâ10.30pm every day).
National Suicide Prevention Helpline UK. Â Offers a supportive listening service to anyone with thoughts of suicide. You can call the National Suicide Prevention Helpline UK on 0800 689 5652 (6pm-3:30am every day).
Campaign Against Living Miserably (CALM). Â Offers a supportive listening service to anyone with thoughts of suicide. You can call the CALM on 0800 58 58 58 (5pm-midnight every day) if you are struggling and need to talk. Or if you prefer not to speak on the phone, you could try the CALM webchat service.
Papyrus HOPELINEUK.
